Comstice IVR can work with your existing Avaya Voice Portal as an MRCP resource for ASR and TTS. It can also run as a standalone solution to replace Avaya Voice Portal. Comstice IVR solution runs on your network or your private cloud as a separate virtual server or as a Kubernetes pod. It integrates with Avaya Voice Portal using MRCPv1. Comstice also offers AI Voice Assistant for AI Intelligence in your contact center.

Avaya Voice Portal Configuration

To configure Avaya Voice Portal, you need to have speech recognition enabled in the system. Use web administration tool and choose Speech Servers option under the System Configuration section;

  1. Select the ASR tab and click the Add button to add a new ASR server.
  2. Please leave most of the settings in default values, only the Engine Type should be set to Nuance.
  3. Set the Network Address to the IP address of the Comstice IVR.
  4. Make sure that the RTSP URL is the IP address of the server. For TTS, the RTSP URL is the same Comstice IVR IP address.
